Ideas for use

  • Take a screenshot of a web-page on your device and add it as a task. Good examples are

    • movies to watch.

Quick-add a task by recording your voice

Creating a task from a voice message is a really quick and easy way to remember things. It’s often a great substitute for a lengthy, written task. Once the item is in your InTray, you can listen to it at any time then give the task a title or add more information however you wish.

  1. From the InTray list screen, click the + Button.
  2. On the pop-up sheet, select “Record Audio”.
  3. Click the microphone icon to begin recording through your device’s microphone.
  4. When your recording is finished, click the microphone icon again.

Your new task will appear as a card in the same list you were viewing when you clicked the + button.

Note: the task will be starred by default if you had the star filter selected at the time you clicked the + button.

Ideas for use

  • Record a voice message to remind yourself later of a task which requires lots of detail. This works especially great with something you may only need once and would otherwise spend lots of time writing out a task and then delete after it has been done.
  • Record ideas on a topic as they come to you.
  • Record notes during a meeting or conversation.
  • Record someone else. Examples could be:
    • someone giving you a shopping list,
    • their phone number and contact details,
    • a message to pass on.

Quick-add a task using speech recognition

  1. From the InTray list screen, click the + Button.
  2. On the pop-up sheet, select “Speech Recognition”.
  3. Click the microphone icon to begin recording through your device’s microphone.
  4. Speak into the microphone and the words you say should be recognised and shown on the screen.
  5. When your recording is finished, click the microphone icon again.

Your new task will appear as a card in the same list you were viewing when you clicked the + button.

Note: the task will be starred by default if you had the star filter selected at the time you clicked the + button.
